It is my understanding that you can open a sub-account within an already existing savings account. When I was logged into ING, I tried to do this, but I couldn't figure it out.

Am I missing something? How do I open the sub-accounts?

One Answer:

It's intuitively obvious. (I'm kidding. It's not!)

Once you're logged in, you click on "Open an Account" on the left sidebar, and take it from there.

"Open a Sub-Account" would be too obvious, apparently.

I tried that and it scared me. I got to the very end and then figured I was screwing up. Do I simply put my ING savings as the source account for the 'new' account?

Try this method: http://www.getrichslowly.org/blog/2008/07/02/how-to-open-multiple-accounts-at-ing-direct/
